From Principal Lisa Whitmore: Dear Parents,I hope you enjoyed your extended weekend this past week with your child. During one of those days, the teachers worked together during a Collaborative Day to review our school data in order to make improvements in how we instructionally support all of our students so that they reach their potential in all they do here at CVE. We learned more about the technology we have here at CVE so that we can use it to the best of our ability. We reviewed the new Reading, Writing and Communication Standards that the state has revised. We also met in various committees to plan a variety of activities and actions to support our students in their achievement. As you can see, we use these Collaborative Days to improve our school systems and instruction. If you have any questions about this work please feel free to contact me. CVE CURBSIDE UPDATE A quick note about curbside pickup! Thanks to all the volunteers who make it run so smoothly! We appreciate you! And thank you parents who use it regularly! On average the gym is cleared and cars are gone in less than 12 minutes! Way to go! Currently we have over 100 families registered, with about 40 using it daily. We love keeping our children safer after school! Here's what some users have to say about the program. "It's great with my younger ones in the car- I never have to get out and my other kid is brought to me!" "I like it for carpooling, no one has to go into the school office and it's like a drive-thru--rain or shine!" "My kids love it! They say it's like a game in the gym to see what color they get!
